This course is an abbreviated introduction to aerial silks ambience or animation, modified from my usual 5 week course. This is a type of practice or performance that is durational in form, and involves sustained movements and focus from the performer. In this introductory course we’ll explore various methods to hone physical and mental endurance while cultivating a creative and improvisational practice through warm-up exercises, conditioning, creative prompts, ambience practice and discussions as well as learning a few sequences and skills for ambience on fabric.
