Aug the Bug

Aug is an asparagus bug who lives in your garden.

The Aug series was co-created with Evan DeRushie, beginning in Spring 2020 as a project based in my creation work in Pochinko clown, and experimenting with live capture animation techniques in Adobe Character Animator. Following the creation of the first two episodes we received a Canada Council for the Arts Grant for continued exploration in different creation, writing and animation techniques, and worked with various musicians to flesh out the remaining pieces.

The videos below are presented in chronological order of their creation.
